Vital Sim Rhythm Privacy Policy
Vital Sim Rhythm is an ECG rhythm-recognition trainer and lesson set for medical and nursing education. It is not a medical device, does not connect to real patient sensors, and does not collect or process real patient health information — every waveform in the app is simulated. The short version of this policy: the app collects nothing.

Vital Sim Rhythm is education software intended only for medical and nursing rhythm training. It is not a medical device. It is not connected to real patient sensors, does not import or display real patient data, is not validated for clinical decision-making, and does not have FDA, CE, or any other regulatory clearance. Do not use it for patient monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, triage, or emergency use.
What the app stores (on your device only)
Everything the app remembers stays on your device in Apple's on-device storage and is never uploaded to any server:
- Your lesson progress, workbook entries, and which rhythms you have missed, stored in Apple's on-device database.
- Small app settings — whether you have accepted the disclaimer, seen the guide, and rating-prompt counters — stored in iOS UserDefaults.
That is the whole list. There is nothing else.
What the app does not collect
Vital Sim Rhythm is a fully offline app. It has:
- No account and no sign-in. You never create a login or give an email.
- No network calls. The app does not contain the networking or cloud components used by our separate two-iPad product, Vital Sim Monitor — it is a standalone build that talks to no server.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is measured, profiled, sold, or shared. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, health data, or files.
Because nothing leaves your device, there is nothing for us to store, see, sell, or lose.
Ratings and the App Store
If you tap "Rate this app" — or when the app occasionally shows Apple's built-in rating prompt — you are handed off to the App Store, which is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. The app itself sends no data in the process; any rating or review you choose to leave is between you and Apple.
Children
The app is a general-audience educational tool and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no data at all, it does not build profiles of any user.
Your control
Your on-device study data — lesson progress, workbook, and missed-rhythm review list — is removed when you delete the app from your device. You can also reset individual progress inside the app.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes what it does with data, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and reflect material changes in the App Store listing. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
