Chest Tube Simulator Privacy Policy
Chest Tube Simulator is a teaching simulator of a dry-seal chest drainage system for nursing and medical education. It is not a medical device and is not used for patient care. This policy explains how the app handles information. In short: the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Last updated: June 17, 2026Simulation only — not a medical device
Chest Tube Simulator is education software intended only for training and study. It is a simulation and is not a medical device. It is not connected to real patient sensors, does not import or display real patient data, is not validated for clinical decision-making, and does not have FDA, CE, or any other regulatory clearance. Do not use it for patient monitoring, diagnosis, treatment, triage, or emergency use. Always follow your facility's policies and your instructors' guidance.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information. The app has no user accounts and no sign-in, and it does not ask for or access your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, microphone, motion data, or HealthKit data.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your learning progress — such as which lessons you have completed and your quiz results — on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage. This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is removed if you delete the app.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
The app contains no analytics, no tracking technologies, and no advertising. It includes no third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Purchases
Chest Tube Simulator is a paid app. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Crash reports
If the app crashes and you have opted in to crash reporting through iOS Settings → Privacy and Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share with App Developers, Apple may send a crash trace to the developer through App Store Connect. These reports describe what the app was doing at the moment of the crash and do not include personal information.
Children
The app is intended for healthcare students and professionals and is not directed to children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Third-party services
The app uses Apple App Store Connect for app distribution and, if you opt in, crash reporting — apple.com/legal/privacy. The app does not include any advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or attribution SDKs, and it does not send your data to any developer-operated server.
Your rights
Because the app collects no personal information, we hold no personal data to access, correct, or delete. Depending on where you live, you may still have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws. To ask a privacy question, contact us at richard@yourfriendrich.com. We will respond within thirty days. We do not sell or share any personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
